Not only does the Golden Globes mark the start of awards show season, but this particular red carpet gave us a glimpse of the possible trends we might see at other shows. Good intel for future dress predictions, right?

If this Globes was any indication, we should be seeing jewel tones aplenty, as evidenced by Jaimie Alexander, Jennifer Lopez and Jada Pinkett-Smith's rich-hued gowns. 

This year also proved that cutous, indeed, are still a thing. However, stars were wearing an upgraded version, as the placement of these skin-baring spaces were strategically unexpected.
