Watch: Mayim Bialik Talks Dating on "Big Bang Theory"

Bad news, Big Bang Theory fans: the shirts are staying on this season. We know. We're as devastated as you are.

E! News just sat down with Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik to get the scoop on her new website, GrokNation.com, and the show's bombshell break-up of Amy and Sheldon (Jim Parsons) that seemed pretty final in the season nine premiere.

While this week's episode did find Sheldon working as hard as he could to try and get his girlfriend back through passive aggressive episodes of his webseries Fun With Flags, it looks like this break might actually last a while. That gives Amy and Sheldon the perfect opportunity to play the field.

"I'm asked a lot, who would I like Amy to go out with, and we actually have some very interesting stuff coming up in that arena," Bialik tells us in the interview above.

She wouldn't spill on what that "interesting stuff" actually entails, but she did tell us what we won't be seeing.

"Some people think we should go super hunky, really against type from what Sheldon is and from what we think of Amy, but part of me also feels like it's OK to keep it a little bit real in that someone like Amy probably would pursue someone—not that attractive people can't be intellectual—but pursue someone in her field, who generally speaking, might not be that concerned with appearance." she says, crushing any perpetual dreams of adding new eye candy to the show in season nine.

"I don't think we'll be seeing Ryan Gosling shirtless, or really anyone shirtless," Bialik continues. "Everyone's shirts tend to stay on in Amy's world."

Click play on the video above to hear what kind of woman she thinks is right for Sheldon, and be sure to tune into E! News at 7 and 11 p.m. to hear more from Mayim.

The Big Bang Theory airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
