Tonight is a big night for Trevor Noah.

Tonight's the night that he takes over The Daily Show, replacing Jon Stewart as our official joke-bringer and guide through the 2016 presidential election.

Those are some serious shoes that Noah is trying to fill, which might actually work because he seems to be a very serious man.

When E! News sat down with the South African comedian for a little get-to-know-you game, he wasn't about to take his answers—or his Kardashians—lightly. From his favorite member of E!'s most famous family to his favorite social media platform, Noah may surprise you.

Noah comes from quite an interesting background. He's a native South African, and his parents got together at a time when their relationship was illegal because his father is white and his mother is black. His parents and his mixed heritage play a big part in his comedy, which deals a lot with race and how Trevor has been perceived since moving to the U.S.

While his past Daily Show segments have often involved a lot of teaching Jon Stewart about race and South African culture, Trevor says we shouldn't expect the new Daily Show to just be full of lessons.

"I don't come from a place of knowing," he says. "I come from a place of wanting to know, which is often the most fun you can have."

He continues, "The Daily Show is our journey together, both new and old viewers coming together and saying, let's see what comes of this."

The Daily Show with Trevor Noah debuts tonight at 11 p.m. on Comedy Central, and in the meantime, get to know the new host even more by checking out seven things to know about Trevor Noah.
