Gigi Hadid Receives Support From Tyra Banks, Ashley Graham, Kris Jenner and More After Body-Positive Instagram

Celebs are praising the 20-year-old model for speaking up about body diversity

Gigi Hadid is receiving a collective round of applause from some notable names in the fashion industry. 

Hours after the 20-year-old top model took to her Instagram page to defend her figure and fight back against body-shamers, the blond stunner received support from fellow females in the industry, including Tyra Banks as well as model and body activist Ashley Graham. 

Banks, who has repeatedly spoken out about the intense pressure models experience today, regrammed Hadid's lengthy Instagram post and added the caption, "I haven't met you yet @gighadid but I FEEL you so much. Your words are powerful. Your words are necessary. Your words are vulnerable. Your words are real. Sending you love and hugs. From one model that had curves and a unique walk to another, Tyra."

Yolanda Foster's daughter quickly caught wind of the talk show host's kind words and thanked her for her support on her own Twitter page. 

"QUEEEEEN @tyrabanks I've looked up to you my whole life. Thank you for this," the supermodel, who has appeared in countless fashion campaigns and walked for the likes of Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Tommy Hilfiger and more, wrote with a link to Tyra's Instagram. 

But Banks wasn't the only model who had nothing but praise for the rising star. Plus-size supermodel Ashley Graham, who has been a major advocate for body diversity on the runway, also thanked Hadid for speaking up.

But that wasn't all the virtual applause she received. Hadid, who also tweeted her love for a number of notable female figures (including Taylor Swift, Kendall Jenner, Serena Williams and Rihanna), continued to garner praise from both celebs and social media users (BFF Kendall retweeted her post).
