The ballroom might just become a zoo this season!
Since the season began two weeks ago, Bindi Irwin has quickly become an early frontrunner to win Dancing With the Stars, but she and partner Derek Hough aren't looking to play it safe. In fact, the 17-year-old wildlife expert is looking to bring some of her animal friends into the competition!
"We befriended a rhinoceros and he's going to make an appearance," Derek spilled to E! News during a break from rehearsals. Yes, you read that right: Bindi and Derek want to dance with a rhino this season!
"For me, wildlife is just a part of who I am," Bindi explained. "So even if we don't get them quite out on stage, we're certainly incorporate some animal-theming in our future."
Also in their future? A lot of icing as Derek gave us an update on his ankle, and Bindi revealed to us she's nursing "a couple of fun little bruises," but she didn't get them from DWTS! "I think I fell out of a tree the other day." she said.
Of course, her partner Derek immediately asked the question that was also on our minds: What was she doing in a tree?! The answer? She was on a mission with her younger brother, Robert! "There's actually hummingbirds that we're looking for and Robert was trying to photograph them!"
