Taylor Swift who?!
Ryan Adams' cover of her 1989 album just dropped and it's so good we nearly forgot it was even done first by Tay. Add to that the fact that he was kind and generous enough to put the entire thing on Spotify and...well...you get it.
But of course we're just kidding—we've still got love for Taylor. (Did you hear that Swifties? You can put down your pitchforks now). After all, music fans can't appreciate Adams' version of 1989 without also giving her props for writing everything. They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so she should feel just peachy keen about this release.
And if her fervent retweeting of the cover album's glowing reviews are any indication, then she's pretty darn pleased. But enough about Taylor; let's get to those reviews! As we all know, the court of public opinion is perhaps the most important one these days. No, we're not talking about music critics, we mean Twitter. If Twitter can't get on board with your artistry, no one can.
But this morning, Twitter is f-ing pleased. There's no better way to put it. Everyone is in awe of these jams, and not just because it allows them to listen to 1989 without any shame at all. Thanks, Ry.
