So you weren't invited to NYFW. You didn't sit front row next to fashion-forward celebs or attend exclusive star-studded parties. Tough deal.

Luckily, E! Style Collective member and celeb stylist Lindsay Albanese was able to send us all her notes and initial thoughts of the season's biggest shows: Marchesa, Naeem Khan and more. Sadly, the week's end is near and so is Lindsay's tenure as our insider on the ground.

To finish the week right, she sent her last dispatch from the Harper's Bazaar Icons Party, where sightings of Mariah Carey, Bella and Gigi Hadid and Katy Perry's outfits were just as exciting as some of the looks walking down the catwalks.

"Katy was wearing a mystical, garden-fairy costume with an ornate butterfly headdress and face mask," said Lindsay. "I love that she dressed for the suggested attire and didn't disappoint! Katy also performed an incredible live show. At one point, someone released a few butterflies that fluttered around the stage, which added to the theme she was going for. It felt magical!"

It seemed as though the "Firework" singer really embraced the party's "fantasy black tie" theme, even though some guests were spotted in office attire and jeans. Not our girl, Lindsay, though.

"I'm all about honoring and dressing for the occasion," she said. "I was the only one in a light color, wearing a headpiece myself!"

Talk about ending things on a high note.
