Adrienne Bailon revealed a bombshell to fans today.
While taping an episode of her morning talk show The Real (airing today), the 31-year-old told the audience that she and longtime love and fiancé Lenny Santiago have called off their engagement.
In a clip obtained by E! News, Bailon begins by telling the crowd that she wanted to address the numerous speculation she gets on social media surrounding her naked ring finger, but chose to wait because she didn't want to put a damper on the show's second season kickoff.
However, she keeps it real (obvs), so she set the record straight on the status of her engagement.
"Through the summer, I went on my little Eat Pray Love journey and it was a time for me to come to terms with my own truth and my honesty and I am not engaged anymore, and we're in a good place," she admitted.
"It's not an ‘aw' thing, I promise you. We're gonna be great friends forever and I think it was a hard decision to make when you're with somebody for such a long time. I think as women, we have a hard time with change. It was hard for me. But you have to be true to yourself. You have to be honest with yourself. And I think having time on my own gave me that opportunity. I'm so grateful to have girls who love and support me, and we're gonna be OK."
While there wasn't any obvious signs of trouble on the star's social media, certain posts may have dropped hints (especially with the absence of a certain sparkler on that finger).
Nearly a month ago, Adrienne kept fans posted (literally) on a tropical getaway to Honduras that she took with gal pal Julissa Bermuda, which she explained was the last stop on her "Eat Pray Love" summer.
"Sunday Funday Yesterday's Malibu send off! With my BFF @officialjulissab before heading off to the last destination of my #EatPrayLove summer! #Malibu #Geoffreys #Travel #EmpireGirlsForever!," she wrote.
Upon her arrival back to the states, Bailon posted a selfie with the caption, "back. to. work. I'm WORKING... On MYSELF... For MYSELF... By MYSELF... #TodayWasAGoodDay! #TGIF #HomeSweetHome."
E! News exclusively broke the news that Bailon spilled on her engagement during The Real back in February.
Co-hosts Loni Love, Jeannie Mai, Tamar Braxton, Tamera Mowry and Bailon were flipping through magazine pages looking for the latest news about Hollywood when Adrienne exclaimed that there was a very important story that wasn't in included.
"It's not in here, you know why? Because no one knows," Bailon began and gave a sneaky look at her gal-pals that got everyone wondering what she's about to say. That's when Adrienne propped her left arm on the desk to reveal the major bling on that finger, which instantly drew gasps from everyone.
"I'm engaged," she announced.
Lenny Santiago is Senior Vice President of A&R, Artist Management at Roc Nation and manager to hip-hop artist, Fabolous. He's been in the business for decades, and is also a renowned celebrity photographer under the moniker KodakLens.
The pair have been dating for several years, but maintained a low profile following her highly publicized split with Rob Kardashian in 2009.
