Fetty Wap's songs may not be all that popular among most parents, but one mom sees past his lyrics for something a little bit closer to her heart.

Brenda Vaden took to Instagram to share the story about her son Jayden—who has Retinoblastoma and lost one of his eyes as a baby—and how the "Trap Queen" rapper has not only given him an idol but also a new level of confidence.

"Today I am forever thankful to a young man named Willie Maxwell aka Fetty Wap," Vaden writes. "While his music is catchy (not always agree with his lyrics but hey who am I to judge...), I'm not necessarily his fan (although Trap Queen is my jam), BUT today I'm his biggest fan."

She continues, "Many close friends, and of course our family know that Jayden was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma at the age of 1. In result of that he had his right eye removed 2 weeks after his 1st bday. He's worn a prosthetic eye since then. He has always been terrified of taking it out and would not be caught without it...and then comes along Fetty Wap… Similar to Jayden he lost an eye at a young age and along the way he decided that he didn't want to wear his prosthetic eye anymore, so he stopped."

Vaden notes that her son is a true Fetty Wap fan and decided to follow in his footsteps.

"Today, after weeks of asking, Jayden is venturing the world without his prosthetic. I of course am a wreck because this world can be cruel, but so proud of our Boogies," she captions the photo of her son without his prosthetic eye. "This young rapper unknowingly gave Jayden something we weren't able to give him-the confidence to be different- and I am grateful to him."

She continues to praise the rapper, adding, "Thanks to Fetty Wap for saying F the world this is me, and for helping make our baby boy just a little more remarkable than he already is. And we'll be purchasing his album, a small thank you to him for changing Jayden's life forever."

The sweet post ended up going viral and catching Fetty Wap's attention. He commented on the photo, praising Jayden right back and thanking Vaden for her thoughtful note.

"All I wanna do is show ppl that it's not how you look or what you see it's how you see it and what your looking for from yourself," [sic] the rapper wrote. "I appreciate his confidence."

Fetty Wap lost his eye after getting congenital glaucoma. He told Sirius XM radio in February, "When I was little…I had got into an accident and it gave me congenital glaucoma in both of my eyes. The doctor saved one, so I was blessed to still have my vision."

As if "Trap Queen" didn't already make us love him, his influence on little Jayden definitely reinforces why Fetty Wap could be our new fave rapper. So sweet!
