Shots fired, Peter Parker! Better get yourself together because your woman is wandering.

Marvel just announced that one of the most famous redheads in comic book history, Mary Jane Watson, will be joining a new Marvel team. And they even hinted that her relationship with a certain Avenger will be interesting, to say the least.

Peter Parker's main squeeze will join Tony Stark's team this December with the release of Invincible Iron Man #4. That's right. MJ + Iron Man = ?

"We were at one of our glorious Marvel publishing retreats and certain characters got brought up, sometimes almost accidentally, and I found out that nobody had anything going on with Mary Jane," writer Brian Bendis says. "I sat with that for a while and I always go to this place in my head where I [wonder] what the most interesting thing I would like to see that character do now and it fell right into the ideas I was already cooking for Tony Stark."

We all know Tony Stark has the tendency to be a charming, handsome, rich womanizer, so will Mary Jane and Iron Man ever, you know…

"They know each other. She used to live in Avengers Tower. But that's all I'm going to say for now because what kind of relationship they end up having is a big part of what I would like people to buy the book for," Bendis teases. "But what I can tell you is that it is new territory for both Tony and Mary Jane. And that is pretty exciting to write."

Hm, so it could be a romantic relationship or something much more complicated. Then again, earlier this year Bendis dropped a not-so-subtle clue about new Marvel characters coming to the Iron Man world and Tony's future girlfriend.

"Tony really likes Redheads," he hinted.

Regardless of what those two become together, we are so into this shakeup. The question is…are you guys into it?
