Who knew? Jennifer Lopez was a former track star!

The 46-year-old stunner took to Instagram today to share an epic throwback Thursday shot, which appears to have been taken during her days of running track and field at Preston High School in her native Bronx, N.Y.

"Mood #alwaysrunning #determined #inaracewithmyself #nevergonnagiveup #onwardandupward #alwayspushing #nocomplacency #LetsWin," the multihyphenate captioned the pic in which she's tirelessly running towards the finish line.

Of course, the hashtags are more than appropriate for J.Lo, who has had one of the longest and most successful careers in Hollywood after catapulting to the spotlight with her starring role in the Selena biopic.

"It had a lot to do with it -- all those performances," Lopez said back in March on the 20th anniversary of Selena's death when asked if her role inspired her music career. "I sang in musicals before, but as part of a cast, never as a solo artist upfront or a recording artist. It made me realize, 'Don't neglect parts of yourself and let people put you in a box because you're an actress. You can do this, and you can also do that. Life is short, and you don't know what's going to happen. Go for your dreams and don't let anyone hold you back.'"

Earlier this year, Lopez also reflected on the success of her 11 biggest movies in an interview with Buzzfeed and admitted Maid in Manhattan is her "favorite of the romantic comedies."

"That whole idea of being a maid and wanting a better life for yourself and Bob Hoskins' character in that movie saying, 'Just because we serve people doesn't mean we're servants. There's dignity in everything that you do so long as you do it well.' That all people are equal — I think that's what Maid in Manhattan is about," she recalled. "People are people. It doesn't matter if you're going to be the president of the United States or if you're a maid at a hotel. It's the quality and character of the person that you are that matters."

Successful, hot and humble? J.Lo's got it all.
