The 2015 MTV VMAs host and Cody were spotted heading out of h.Wood group's The Nice Guy in West Hollywood Thursday evening. No, it wasn't a date! Instead, Miley hosted a welcome home party for the "Pretty Brown Eyes" singer. A source tells E! News that Miley, Cody and a group of about 15 people sat on the side patio and enjoyed a private dinner.
Even though Miley and Cody sat next to each other, our source insists that they're "super good friends," and that there's "absolutely nothing romantic" between them. But with Miley being Miley, it wasn't just a regular party with a typical menu. Miley wanted only the best for her BFF, so she ordered him a very special cake... in the shape of a penis!
"[Cody] was dying of laughter," the insider tells us. "He thought it was the funniest thing."
After the big cake reveal, Cody gave Miley a friendly hug and continued their "super mellow" night at The Nice Guy. Afterwards, they headed to 1Oak nightclub to finish out their fun time together. The Hannah Montana alum kept her dreadlocks from Sunday night's show and topped her look off with a Chanel keyhole dress and platform sandals.
Cody kept it casual in jeans, a T-shirt and leather jacket.
Since splitting from Gigi Hadid, Cody has been living the single life. He did, however, have an awkward run-in with his ex-girlfriend when they were seated next to each other on a plane some weeks back. Fortunately both stars had a sense of humor about the whole situation.
"I'm sitting there, I see this blond hair I'm like, ‘Oh yeah, let's do it!'" Simpson told Nova with a laugh. "She was like reading a book or something on her phone, she had her head [down] so you can't tell [who it is] and because the seat was like that you only see blond hair and I'm like, ‘Yes!' and then she looks up and I'm like [mouths expletive]."
"I look at her and I just start cracking up, like and everyone's looking at me, I start cracking up and she's looking at me like ‘What are you doing?'" he continued. "I'm like, ‘This is my seat,' and she's like, ‘No way!'"
Both good sports about it, Gigi and Cody snapped a pic for his Snapchat account. Thank goodness for friendly exes!
