Has your life been a little less sweet since March when you last had a bite of Cookie? Have no fear, Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) and Empire are coming roaring back this September and we've got an exclusive sneak peek at the new season. The promo above features everything you love about Empire including, but not limited to: Cookie, fashion, music, scheming, the entire Lyon family and big guest stars.
"It's crazy how I can love you and hate you at the same moment," Lucious (Terrence Howard) says to Cookie.
"I call it 'torture,'" she says.
"Torture." That's what it's been like waiting for new Empire. Thankfully, the wait is almost over and the show has put out two new songs from the Wednesday, Sept. 23 premiere. One features Pitbull and you'll see him and hear him in the season two premiere. Other new faces this season include Oscar winner Marisa Tomei, Magic Mike's Adam Rodriguez, Ludacris, Alicia Keys, Chris Rock, Lenny Kravitz and maybe even Mariah Carey. Plus Oprah Winfrey? Who knows.
You know who's missing from that video? Your other faves, Gabourey Sidibe and Ta'Rhonda Jones. Don't worry, they're coming back in a fulltime capacity this year.
