Four decades of love and it only takes weeks to find someone new.
The Muppets' Kermit the Frog already has found a new love with an employee in the marketing department at ABC, People reports. Her name? Denise. Denise from marketing.
Miss Piggy and Kermit split after four decades of love less than a month ago, but the flirty amphibian has already moved onto another pig. Had Miss Piggy and "Kermie" gone their separate ways, the situation might have been OK, but they're still working together on her late-night talk show, Up Late With Miss Piggy. The situation is being documented for ABC's The Muppets, so viewers will be able to see the awkwardness play out on the screen.
"[Denise] is always stopping by the set of Up Late," a source told the magazine.
It doesn't look like things are slowing down for the couple, either, as the insider also revealed that Kermit "calls her his girlfriend."
Miss Piggy doesn't have to worry, as she apparently also has moved on...to Liam Hemsworth! Not too shabby, Miss Piggy. The Hunger Games star Instagrammed a romantic photo with Kermit's former flame, captioning it, "Spent Friday with the most beautiful girl in the world. Kermit, #SorryNotSorry. #TheMuppets #misspiggy."
But the post served two purposes: first, to declare his love for the spotlight-obsessed swine and announce his role on the forthcoming series, and second, to let everyone know he joined the photo-sharing site.
While no further information was provided about Hemsworth's role in the post, Entertainment Weekly reported that the 25-year-old hunk will play himself.
"After careful thought, thoughtful consideration and considerable squabbling, Kermit the Frog and moi have made the difficult decision to terminate our romantic relationship," Miss Piggy previously wrote on Facebook. "We will continue to work together on television (The Muppets/Tuesdays 8 p.m, this fall on ABC) and in all media now known or hereafter devised, in perpetuity, throughout the universe. However, our personal lives are now distinct and separate, and we will be seeing other people, pigs, frogs, et al. This is our only comment on this private matter...unless we get the right offer. Thank you for your understanding."
