Fox & Friends host Elisabeth Hasselbeck asked a guest commentator Monday morning why those involved in the #BlackLivesMatter movement haven't been classified as a hate group.

The group was discussing the events that took place at the Minnesota state fair, where a group of protesters chanted, "Pigs in a blanket/ Fry them like bacon." They also discussed African-American suspect Shannon J. Miles, who allegedly shot and killed Deputy Darren Goforth in the back.

When conservative commentator Kevin Jackson joined the conversation, Hasselbeck asked, "Kevin, why has the #BlackLivesMatter movement not been classified yet as a hate group? I mean, how much more has to go in this direction before someone actually labels it as such?"

Jackson called the movement a "stain on the nation." He also described the recent events as "par for the course."

"Well, they should do it, but unfortunately it's being financed by the leftists," Jackson said. "Ironically it's people who have nothing, really no concern at all about black lives."

Jackson, who is black, said he believes the movement is "going to backfire" and added that it's all "nonsense." He also explained that he felt the movement is the result of a trickle-down effect by the left.

"It takes away so much thought about what really is the problem in the black community, which is the lack of whole black families," he said.

Rosie O'Donnell, who notably had several disagreements with Hasselbeck while she was a co-host on The View, took to Twitter to air her grievances with the Fox host's question. "Hasselbeck asked, 'Kevin, why has the Black Lives Matter movement not been classified yet as a hate group? …' some r slow 2 wake," the comedienne tweeted Monday.
