UPDATE: Elisabeth Hasselbeck has tweeted amid all the backlash from her question. "My calling @foxandfriends is to ask questions and my calling as a #Christian is to #LoveAllGodsPeople -I give my best to do both each day," she wrote Tuesday.
Fox & Friends host Elisabeth Hasselbeck asked a guest commentator Monday morning why those involved in the #BlackLivesMatter movement haven't been classified as a hate group.
The group was discussing the events that took place at the Minnesota state fair, where a group of protesters chanted, "Pigs in a blanket/ Fry them like bacon." They also discussed African-American suspect Shannon J. Miles, who allegedly shot and killed Deputy Darren Goforth in the back.
When conservative commentator Kevin Jackson joined the conversation, Hasselbeck asked, "Kevin, why has the #BlackLivesMatter movement not been classified yet as a hate group? I mean, how much more has to go in this direction before someone actually labels it as such?"
Jackson called the movement a "stain on the nation." He also described the recent events as "par for the course."
