The cover art for their upcoming track "Pretty Girls" was released on the Internet when Shazam shared it earlier today, and it's literally out of this world (get it?!). While the music video, which has already been shot, is supposed to give an '80s theme, the cover art for the track seems to be more of a '90s feel.
Just imagine that Spears' "Oops I Did It Again" video gets an illustrative makeover inspired by a Lisa Frank trapper keeper with a touch of Earth Girls Are Easy and Britney's face from her 1999 Rolling Stone cover—and you got it!
When Spears was asked recently when it would be released, she dished, "You'll have to wait and see. It's really exciting, though. It's very cool, I'll say that...I saw [Iggy's] song on TV and I was like a kid in a candy store. I was like, 'I love Iggy!' I was like, 'I love that video. I wanna work with her.'
"And it was really weird, because a week after that her manager was like, 'She's a huge fan of yours.' I was like, 'Let's do something together,' so it worked out."
The music video, shot in L.A. earlier this month, was inspired by the 1988 sci-fi comedy Earth Girls Are Easy, starring Geena Davis. Azalea considers the actress to be the "ultimate '80s pin-up, hot, cool type of girl."
In the "Pretty Girls" music video, "I do a makeover for her and we go to a club," Spears revealed. "The best part about it was just us coming together with the clothes and doing the '80s haircuts. We were all about being characters, so it was kind of funny for us. We weren't taking ourselves so seriously."
