And just when we thought this pair couldn't get any more beautiful...
Nikki Reed married Ian Somerhalder in Malibu on April 26, and we could tell from afar that her bridal gown—a mermaid-style ivory lace design with three quarter-length sleeves—was absolutely stunning. And now, we have a better look, thanks to Claire Pettibone's Los Angeles salon, where Reed found and fell in love with her custom beaded gown featuring a low back and illusion lace neckline.
Nikki's style of choice was the "Elizabeth," an Ecru beaded Chantilly lace mermaid gown to which she added sheer lace sleeves and a modified boat neck.
The actress kept the original gown's plunging back, which made for both a breathtaking and eye-catching back view.
We have to say, this dress was an amazing choice—the silhouette works to showcase Nikki's slender figure, and the romantic lace detailing adds an almost ethereal touch. The bride passed on a traditional veil, instead wrapping a floral headpiece around her half-up, half-down hairstyle.
E! News exclusively broke the news that Reed and Somerhalder were engaged back in January. "They're so happy," a source told E! News. "They were crazy happy from the start. Their families love each other. It just feels really right."
And that massive diamond engagement ring—an equally stunning complement to Reed's wedding gown: "The center stone appears to be a four carat round diamond, which is flanked by large round diamonds for a floral shape," Morgan Shara of Masbisjoux Jewelry told us in February. "The setting is an antique style."
Congrats to this so-in-love couple!
