Nepal Earthquake, Dwayne Johnson

Celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson took to Twitter this weekend to post prayers and other messages of support after a 7.8 earthquake led to the deaths of more than 2,500 people and devastated Nepal and parts of neighboring countries.

The quake hit the southern Asian country on Saturday and powerful aftershocks have since rocked the region. More than 2,500 people have died, NBC News reported on Sunday afternoon. Thousands have been injured and scores of people have been left homeless. According to Reuters, some 66 people were also killed in neighboring India and 18 died in Tibet.

The earthquakes have caused deadly avalanches on Nepal's famed Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world. Sophia Bush's ex-boyfriend and Google executive, Dan Fredinburg, was killed in one of them (read her emotional message about him). They have claimed the lives of at least a dozen people.
