WARNING: Spoilers ahead for All-New X-Men #40. Stop reading now if you don't want to know what's inside the pages of that comic. You've been warned.

This is what happens when you hang around a telepathic.

A core member of the X-Men team will be outed as gay in when All-New X-Men #40 is released on Wednesday. Artwork from inside the pages leaked online, and they show Jean Grey having a very enlightening conversation with a certain member of the original team. Because she just loves to get inside people's heads without permission and read their thoughts.

Damn, Jean. Rude much?

Anyway, the X-Men character that will come out is...

Bobby Drake, aka Iceman! Raise your hand if you're not exactly surprised at this reveal.

Bobby's big moment goes like this: Jean, being the nosy little telepathic that she is, is just kickin' it in Bobby's brain when she obviously stumbles across some of his non-straight thoughts. And since she has lost patience with his overtly sexual remarks toward other female members of the team, she's ready to call him out for overcompensating.

At first, Bobby insists he's not gay. Then he talks about how his future self isn't gay so his past self couldn't be gay either, which Jean shuts down because even though older Bobby does date woman, he doesn't date them "well."

In the comics, Iceman dates Kitty Pryde and has a thing for Polaris.

Then comes the "maybe I'm just bi" argument, and that's when Jean tells him she thinks he's just "full gay."

Eventually, Bobby admits his true identity and Jean embraces Bobby, telling him that she doesn't think anyone on the team cares about his sexual preference and that he can come out to them whenever he's ready.

And in case you were wondering, Bobby does seem to have his eye on somebody already: Angel.

We ship it.

Shawn Ashmore, who plays Iceman in the X-Men films, congratulated his comic counterpart for his brave decision on Twitter:

Also, it's important to note that Family Guy called this reveal years ago:

What do you think of Iceman's big news?
