Jared Leto, is that you?!

The actor may have been absent from the first Suicide Squad cast photo—which was a total bummer—but he's made up for it by giving fans a sneak peek at his (kinda creepy!) makeover for his role as The Joker.

Following in many celebs' recent footsteps, the blue-eyed hunk chose to share the memorable snapshot on Snapchat, opposed to other social media outlets, and one fan was smart enough to quickly grab a screenshot and then post it for other fans to enjoy.

The up-close selfie shows off Leto's bright red pout and even brighter, short green hair, which wasn't as visible in our first look at his character.

A number of fans took to social media after director David Ayer posted the cast photo sans Leto and made the hashtag #WhereIsJared take over the Twittersphere.

Ayer responded last week by tweeting a picture of Leto as the Joker, with green hair and a camera in hand; It's a nod to Alan Moore's Batman: The Killing Joke graphic novel cover. "#WhereIsJared #SuicideSquad," he wrote.

Although it's not an official photograph, Jared's latest snap as his character gives us a better look at what we can expect on the big screen, and for that we're thankful. And a little frightened, because OH MAN.

In February, Leto told Billboard he was "trying to gain a lot of weight" for the role. (In March, he also cut his hair.)

"The opportunity to take on this nearly Shakespearean character—that's what graphic novels and comic books are becoming, right? [He's] this beautiful disaster of a character—what a big challenge," Leto said.

Warner Bros. has slated Suicide Squad for release on August 5, 2016.
