Hillary Scott, her husband Chris Tyrrell, the band's tour manager and the tour bus driver were en route to Dallas when, per the singer's Instagram, one of the tires "caught on fire and we had to evacuate very quickly."
Fortunately, the 29-year-old noted, "EVERYONE IS SAFE AND SOUND."
Hillary Instagrammed a photo showing the charred bus. No word yet on whether the contents on board were damaged in the fire. Hillary, however, was grateful that all four people on board made it out OK.
"Thanking God for our safety and the safety of all of those who helped put this fire out and keep us safe," she wrote. "Love you all!!!!"
A spokesperson from the Garland, Texas, Police Department confirmed what Hillary wrote, telling E! News, "There was a tire blowout on the bus. They pulled off to the side and somehow the bus caught fire...This happened around 8:30am (local time). The incident limited the roadway to one lane, and traffic was backed up for 3 hours."
Per local Dallas-Forth Worth affiliate NBC5, the band was heading from Nashville to Dallas for the American Country Music Awards on Sunday. Lady Antebellum is nominated for Vocal Group of the Year, facing off against Little Big Town, Rascal Flatts, The Band Perry and Zac Brown Band.
Of course Hillary and hubby Chris, now the drummer for Lady Antebellum, are all about the country music scene, but the couple's 19-month-old daughter, Eisele, is really the center of their lives!
"We have the most hilarious, spirited and beautiful little girl," Hillary told the Las Vegas Sun last year. "There is never a dull moment; it's amazing. My husband is a great dad. And it's true what they say: It's a new adventure every day. It's the greatest feeling in the world."
