Sofía Vergara isn't the first person we think of when we hear country music.
Even so, I can exclusively reveal that the Modern Family star will present at the upcoming Academy of Country Music Awards with Reese Witherspoon.
Vergara and the Tennessee native co-star in the upcoming comedy, Hot Pursuit.
The two most recently appeared on Ellen DeGeneres and presented together at the MTV Movie Awards.
Country music stars Keith Urban, Jake Owen, Brett Eldredge and Darius Rucker as well as Miss America have also signed on to present.
The ACMs will include performances by the show's co-host Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Brooks & Dunn, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Rascal Flatts as well as Christina Aguilera and Nick Jonas.
Top nominees include Lambert with eight nominations, including Female Vocalist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year, and Florida Georgia Line with four, also competing in Entertainer of the Year category.
Taylor Swift, Reba, George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Chesney, Lambert and Brooks will be honored with the prestigious 50th Anniversary Milestone Award. The trophy was designed by celebrity jewelry designer David Yurman.
The ACMs will be broadcast live on CBS from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Sunday, April 19 starting at 8 p.m. ET.
