The singer and his girlfriend Alexis Roderick are expecting their first child together this summer, Joel's rep confirmed to E! News Tuesday afternoon.
As of now, the Hollywood twosome will not be sharing any other information including the sex of their upcoming little one until a later date.
"The couple, together since 2009, opted to keep any further details of her pregnancy under wraps until their new addition makes an official debut," Joel's rep added.
Almost a year after they started dating, Roderick revealed that she met "The Longest Time" and "Uptown Girl" singer at a restaurant in Long Island.
"He was going to dinner. I wasn't," she told the NY Daily News. "And we were friends for a while before we started dating."
Joel already has plenty of experience being a parent. Fans likely remember that he has a daughter named Alexa Ray Joel from his past marriage to Christie Brinkley.
"People who give you their food give you their heart," Alexa Ray recently teased on Instagram while enjoying a dinner date with her dad. Roderick would later comment on the Instagram writing, "So sorry I missed it! It looks delicious! I picked basil for you guys before I left xxxxxx"
