Bobby Flay and Stephanie March have separated, E! News confirms.

The Food Network chef, 50, and the Law & Order: SVU actress, 40, celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary on Feb. 20. However, the New York City-based couple has been living apart "for months," according to a source. The source adds that March "tried everything she could do to save the marriage."

"Stephanie is now the primary caregiver for her mom, who was recently diagnosed with cancer and is being treated in New York," an insider tells E! News, adding that March's mother has moved in with her.

March's rep had no comment; Flay's has not yet responded.

If the celebrities decide to proceed with divorce, it will be the first for March and the third for Flay. He was previously wed to chef Debra Ponzek and former Robin Leach Talk Food co-host Kate Connelly; Flay shares custody of daughter Sophie with Connelly. Flay and March, however, have no children together.

Though their relationship is cooling off, their careers are hotter than ever.

Flay is the star or host of more than a dozen popular shows on the Food Network. Additionally, he has also authored 14 best-selling cookbooks, including Bobby Flay's Bold American Food and Bobby Flay's Barbecue Addiction. As for March? After playing assistant district attorney Alexandra Cabbot on Law & Order: SVU until 2012, the actress opened up Rouge NY, an affordable makeup salon in New York City.

TMZ was first to report the couple's separation Thursday.
