There's a reason why George R. R. Martin's Game of Thrones books are so dang long.

The story that has gripped our nation for years is so complicated, with hundreds of important characters, places and things to remember, that trying to sum up the story in a concise way is pretty much next to impossible. But that didn't stop us from making the cast of HBO's hit show to try anyway!

When we hit the red carpet premiere for Game of Thrones season five in San Francisco, we asked all the cast members to try and describe the upcoming season...in just one word.

It was an impossible task, but they were totally game to try it anyway! And their answers are just pure gold (but not that kind of gold that melts your face off...)!

Who called it shocking (hint: more than one person chose this word!), and who refused to pick just one word? Who disagreed on whether the word "grandiose" accurately described this season?

Press play on the video above now to watch Dean-Charles Chapman who plays King Tommen Baratheon, Maisie Williams who plays Arya Stark, Sophie Turner who plays Sansa Stark, Finn Jones who plays Loras Tyrell, Hannah Murray who plays Gilly, Conleth Hill who plays Varys, Kit Harington who plays Jon Snow, Emilia Clarke who plays Daenerys Targaryen, Peter Dinklage who plays Tyrion Lannister, along with executive producers D.B. Weiss and David Benioff, try to explain what fans can expect from season five.

Game of Thrones premieres Sunday at 9 p.m. on HBO.
