With the fifth season of Game of Thrones premiering in just a matter of days, all eyes are on Emilia Clarke and the rest of the ensemble cast.

The stunning actress graces the cover of Vogue U.K. this month, complete with her signature blond wig for the main shot, and poses in a glamorous ruby-red gown for the inside shoot.

The 28-year-old opened up about getting started in show business, and how her family initially reacted to learning of her career ambitions.

"When I told my dad I wanted to be an actress, he replied that there was only one line I needed to learn: 'Do you want fries with that?'"

Clarke also dished that when she was first in talks to join the mega-successful HBO series, she had some hesitations over what her parents would think of her character's plotline.

"When I first read the scripts, I was on holiday with my family. I told my dad, you're not going to be able to watch the first five episodes."

And in addition to the fifth season of GoT, Clarke is also about to have a jam-packed summer promoting the release of Terminator Genisys in July.

While Clarke undoubtedly had a blast filming the upcoming action flick alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jai Courtney and J.K. Simmons, she admitted to the British mag that she was thrilled to return to the Thrones set.

"I went back to Game of Thrones and it was like coming home," she revealed. "Just the smell of the hotel in Belfast made me feel safe. I told myself, forget the big game plan; all I want is to do jobs that make me happy."

Her sentiments seem to go hand-in-hand with why she inevitably turned down the role of Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades of Grey as well.

"I'd done nudity before and was concerned with being labeled for doing it again," she told The Hollywood Reporter, before adding that she had "no regrets."
