For many people, getting a new pet is like bringing a new baby home. You're excited to get them settled into their new surroundings and make sure they know they're never going back to their old family. Ever.
However exciting those first few days are though, they're also a time of adjustment where in you get used to each other and bond. It's a time to learn each other's idiosyncrasies as well as each other's likes and dislikes. It's also a great time to find out if your new pet is going to hose down your mouth zone with urine every time you pick them up.
