Before she can thwart Rayna's plan, Susan is equipped with state of the art weapons and given a major makeunder. "Cat lady," she says, looking at her fake ID. "Just missing the shirt that says I've never felt the touch of a man." Elaine reminds her, "You are not to make direct contact with any of the targets."

That's easier said than done, of course.

While in Italy, Susan involves herself with Rayna, who eventually realizes that she works for the CIA.

"My father used to bring here," she says.

Susan, while tied to a chair, fires back, "Did he also make you dress like a slutty dolphin trainer?"

Yeah. It's that kind of spy movie.

Rick goes rogue and threatens to blow Susan's cover so he can take down Rayna himself. "I'm a real spy. I once drove a car off a freeway on top of a train while I was on fire. Not the car—I was on fire!" he says.

Spy, in theaters June 5, also stars Morena Baccarin and Bobby Cannavale.

During last month's SXSX Film Festival, McCarthy said she sustained an injury on set. "I slipped on wet marble and I went down," McCarthy told E! News. "I threw my back out so badly, we spent the whole week trying to get me walking again. It was intense and it was kind of at the beginning of the movie. It was a little dicey."

In the moment, Feig thought, "Oh, f--k."

Thankfully, the injury wasn't too severe.

"She's such a strong person," Feig said, adding that McCarthy did about "90 percent" of her own stunts. "She's an athletic person and the things I was asking her to do, I knew she could pull off. The minute she put her leg up in the door in Bridesmaids, it was like, 'OK, I'm not worried about Melissa anymore.'"
