Following in the footsteps of Nicole Richie, Katy Perry and Ashley Tisdale, Audrina Patridge took to Instagram on Jan. 12 with lighter (and lavender) locks! For the record: The star is calling her look "dusty violet." (Gee, even the name sounds chic.)
"New hair don't care #champagnesilver#dustyviolet#change #2015," Audrina wrote alongside the snapshot. The star's car selfie showed her silvery lilac waves under a very trendy black wide-brim hat.
Unveiling her new hair on Instagram also keeps with the tradition of celebs debuting major coif changes via app: Back in the fall, Audrina's former MTV co-star Lauren Conrad documented her long-to-lob hair transformation over a few weeks on social media.
But really, it was about time Audrina made a change! Here-and-there honey blond highlights aside, the star has been rocking a staple brunette look since she made her television debut in 2006. And she's right: The New Year is as good a time as any for a daring hair makeover.
