Evan Agostini/Invision/APAlthough there are multiple couples in Hollywood who hang out together after splitting up, it seems like Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise are not one of them.
Reports surfaced that Katie and daughter Suri, whom she shares with the Jack Reacher actor, spent Christmas with Cruise, but that isn't the case. A rep tells E! News that this couldn't be farther from the truth.
"Katie did not spend Christmas afternoon with Tom Cruise as reported," the rep tells us.
The Sun reported that Holmes, who split with Cruise in 2012 after five years of marriage, wanted to put her 8-year-old daughter's best interests first, so allegedly decided to invite her ex over her home for the holiday. But, an insider tells the publication, Holmes remains wary of her ex-husband's beliefs in Scientology.
''There's no way Katie will set foot in Tom's home or be in the same room as the rest of his family, because they are all so involved with the Scientology movement," an insider told The Sun.
The source added, "So she's asked him to come to their new home. Tom's agreed to try to schedule his holidays to involve Suri as much as possible."
So what did Katie and Suri actually do over the holidays? They got charitable!
"She and Suri spent Christmas afternoon visiting children at a local hospital in L.A.," the rep added. "The report was completely false."
Although Cruise has remained quiet about his divorce from the Giver actress, Holmes previously told People that she doesn't want to be known for her TomKat life.
"I don't want that moment in my life to define me, to be who I am," Holmes, 35, said of her former marriage. "I don't want that to be what I'm known as. I was an actor before, an actor during and an actor now."
