Ricki Lake snuck off and got married—and her marriage seems to be ending almost as quietly.

The actress and talk show host filed for divorce from her husband, Christian Evans, on Oct. 16, according to court documents obtained Wednesday by E! News. (The paperwork has his name as Christopher David Evans, but Lake has always referred to him as Christian.)

Lake and Evans, a jewelry designer, tied the knot in a small ceremony on April 8, 2012, after about a year of dating. The bride tweeted a photo of herself in her wedding dress, writing, ""Yup. This is me.... Sadie Sadie married lady. Love is in the air."

She put Oct. 9 as their date of separation and cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the breakdown of their marriage after two years and six months.

Lake and Evans had no children together. She's the mother of two sons with ex-husband Rob Sussman.

And it sounds as though the Mrs. Winterbourne star has found a silver lining from the split—or at least she hasn't lost her sense of humor.

"One of the only good things about heartbreak.. The lbs that are lost," Lake, who has talked frankly about her struggles with her weight and body image over the years, tweeted Monday. "This #shapeshifter has gone in the other direction. #thankful."

And the day before that, she quoted none other than Keanu Reeves circa 2006 on Instagram, captioning a nature pic, "All you can do is hope that grief will be transformed and, instead of feeling pain and confusion you will be together again in memory, that there will be solace and pleasure there, not just loss. - Keanu Reeves #amen."

Talking about her rough breakup with Sussman eight years beforehand, a newlywedded Lake told Huffington Post in 2012 that she had become "pretty cynical about marriage" before meeting Evans.

"Thankfully Christian came into my life and turned my life upside down. I have never felt as loved and nurtured and accepted as I am in this relationship," she said. "He's just opened my world. It's profound."

On Sept. 14, she captioned a pic of the two of them on Instagram, "The love of my life and me. @christiandevans."
