Looks like one of the first daughters just scored her first job—and a plum position it was!

Malia Obama spent a day working as a production assistant on the Los Angeles set of Halle Berry's new TV series Extant, according to The Wrap

Per the site, Barack and Michelle Obama's eldest daughter helped with computer shop alignments and was allowed to slate a take, and was overheard saying happily, "My first time. This is a big deal."

A spokesperson for FLOTUS' office had no comment on the 15-year-old's foray into showbiz. The Obamas spent several days in Southern California, with the president giving the commencement address for UC Irvine graduates on Saturday.

In 2012, Michelle told People that Malia had "expressed some interest in filmmaking. Just like her father, she is an avid reader, and she enjoys movies. But she's a freshman, so she also knows she has years in college to explore her interest."

As for their youngest daughter: "Sasha, what she likes today will change in an hour. So she doesn't even try and lay it out yet. I want them to be as open to possibilities as possible."

Meanwhile, Extant marks Oscar winner (and avid Obama supporter) Berry's first major small-screen role since the 2005 TV movie Their Eyes Were Watching God, for which she was nominated for both an Emmy and a Golden Globe. (She won both for playing the title role in HBO's Introducing Dorothy Dandridge in 1999.)

In the sci-fi drama, the actress plays an astronaut who returns to Earth pregnant after spending a year in space. Hmm...

The 13-episode series, also starring Goran Visnjic and Camryn Manheim, premieres July 9 on CBS.

We wonder which scene has the presidential seal of approval!
