Guy Fieri testified in court yesterday against San Francisco Bay Area teenager Max Wade, who stole his 2008 yellow Lamborghini in 2011 to impress a girl before subsequently attempting to kill the girl and her boyfriend.

The Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives host took the stand for a mere five minutes on Monday to confirm the car had been stolen from him two years ago.

"This has got so many other facets to it that are far more important than my car," Fieri told reporters outside the Marin County courthouse (via a local NBC affiliate). "Quite frankly, it may be inconsequential. I mean, there's a bigger issue on the table."

Wade, now 19, is facing charges of theft and attempted murder stemming from the robbery. "I'm just happy that it's done," Fieri said of his testimony. "I missed the car, it was a great car. But move on."

After Fieri's Lamborghini was stolen in 2011, Fieri says he received frequent tips about the luxury car's whereabouts.

"We would get calls all the time, I mean all the time," he cracked. "My friends would call me and say 'Listen, I just saw your car on the freeway.' And I'm like, ‘Believe it or not, there's more than one yellow Lamborghini probably in Northern California.' And people would call and we'd get reports, my attorney would hear about it. To come to find out that he was driving it, brave kid."

Wade's trial began earlier this month. Deputy District Attorney Yvette Martinez began closing arguments in the case yesterday.
