If diamonds are a girl's best friend, Kim Kardashian has the ultimate BFF.

On Thursday, Oct. 24, Kanye West's fiancée gave the first clear view of her 15-carat diamond engagement ring at the Dream for Future Africa Foundation Gala 2013 in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The bride-to-be, who looked stunning in a white Nina Ricci dress, was all smiles with Yeezy by her side. North West's daddy clearly did a good job on Kim's Lorraine Schwartz engagement ring—and he didn't just pick it off a shelf.

A rep for the jeweler told E! News, "Kanye was involved in every single way. He had a vision from the beginning. He looked at a lot of stones and he wanted only the best."

"He and Lorraine emailed back and forth, and stayed up nights discussing how he wanted it to be," the rep added. "He wanted the diamond to look like it was floating on air.  Everything was his idea from beginning to end."

See, he really is a creative genius! Kanye also made sure the diamond was completely ethical, non-conflict and Kimberly registered, meaning that the stone purchase was verified for not financing violence by rebel movements and their allies seeking to undermine legitimate governments.

And the rock itself is "D-flawless," said the jeweler's rep. "It's the best color, clarity, and cut there is. There's no comparison!"
