Someone must be having a series séance!

Sources confirm to E! News that ABC is considering bringing back Body of Proof, starring Dana Delany, which was cancelled in May after a three-season run on the network. As first reported by Deadline, ABC could be resurrecting the drama for a mid-season premiere.

According to our sources, the network is still assessing if it's even logistically possible to bring back the series, as the sets have been torn down and the actors (including Delaney) and writers have been released from their contracts.

As of now, the drama's former executive producer, Evan Katz, is now at the helm of Fox's highly anticipated continuation 24: Live Another Day.

We are told it's possible Body of Proof could be brought back with Katz in less of a hands-on producing role, given that 24 is shooting in London. It's also possible that production on Body would start after 24's limited run has wrapped.

However, according to multiple sources, it may be near impossible to reassemble the show—five-plus months after it was disbanded. (Fans, we'll keep our fingers crossed for you.)

So why is ABC reconsidering the show's fate? In case you hadn't noticed, the ratings for ABC's fall dramas have been less-than-stellar, (Ahem, yes we're looking at you Lucky Seven, this season's first cancellation, and Betrayal, which is likely to be cancelled) so the network is looking to shore up ratings by tapping into Body of Proof's formerly strong fan following. (Hey ABC, can we make a suggestion that you also look at a surprise comeback for Happy Endings?! Just sayin'.)

Prior to their cancellation, Body earned a steady number of viewers with an average 11 million tuning in each week to watch the Delany-led procedural. Combined with a 2.0 in the coveted 18-49 demo, Body of Proof was ABC's third largest drama series of the season last year. The fans were also active in fan-saving campaigns, like E! Online's Save One Show, coming in second for 2013.

When asked about reports of this this potential resurgence, ABC had no comment.

Body fans, do you want the series to live on?

If so, sound off in the comments and let your voice be heard!
