Miley Cyrus had our jaws dropping for all the right reasons last night at the 2013 FGI Night of Stars gala at Cipriani Wall Street.

While the singer definitely doesn't have any trouble turning heads with her signature skin-baring style, it was her decision to ditch her scanty crop tops and skintight outfits that caught our eye at last night's event.

Looking ever so elegant, the "Wrecking Ball" singer covered up in a sparkling floor-length Marc Jacobs design that only exposed her toned back.

Opting to comb her hair back for a sleek look, the singer also kept her accessories fairly understated, reaching for a pair of Saint Laurent heels and Lorraine Schwarz jewels that didn't steal the spotlight from her dazzling green gown.

So, could this be a sign that Cyrus is moving on from her risqué wardrobe?

Not quite.

It was back to business as usual for the 20-year-old later in the evening, when she hit the Beatrice Inn in a few of her fave fashion staples: fishnets and a super-short hemline.

She paired her silky, leg-baring number with edgy accessories, including a leather baseball cap, oversize chain necklace and a '90s-style plaid shirt that she tied around her waist.

And, in fact, the blond beauty's choice of Jacobs for last night event was probably fueled by the fact that she feels his gowns are still in keeping with her envelope-pushing style.

"[My look] has to be sexy and strong and that's what I feel like with fashion, I feel like Marc does that so well," she recently said in an interview with HungerTV. "There's definitely something amazing about being so ladylike yet being so punk and that's kind of more of what I am even if I'm wearing things that aren't. I like having this punk feel about it even if it's like Louboutin. You've got to find the right designers that know how to mix."
