In case you didn't hear (or read or see), Kanye West popped the question to girlfriend and mother of his child Kim Kardashian on her 33rd birthday! And obviously she said yes. Kayne pulled out all the stops: renting out a baseball stadium, fireworks, Jumbotron proposal and an orchestra! Yowza. Those two never do anything halfway, and we can appreciate that.

To honor Kimye's engagement, we're reliving our favorite TV proposals, from Parks and Recreation to The Simpsons. Some of them are simple, some of them are super-romantic and over-the-top, but all of them are memorable:

1. Ben and Leslie, Parks and RecreationAs with a lot of TV proposals, the episode is full of moments where you think Ben (Adam Scott) and Leslie (Amy Poehler) are headed for certain doom. Especially since he is considering taking a job in Florida and thus keeping them in a long-distance relationship. But when Leslie tells her leasing agent that she will no longer be renting a house with her boyfriend, Ben shows up and immediately gets down on one knee. This proposal has all the best elements of a TV engagement: comedy (Leslie telling him to wait), a memento important to the couple (the red box) and a sweet, impassioned speech. When Leslie tells Ben that she wants to remember how everything in her life is perfect right now, it still gives us full body chills.

2. Kurt and Blaine, Glee: Say what you will about Glee, but its engagements rival Kim and Kanye's extravagant event. After getting back together in the season-five premiere, Blaine (Darren Criss) enlisted the help of New Directions, the Dalton Warblers, Vocal Adrenaline and the Haverbrook School for the Deaf choir to serenade Kurt (Chris Colfer) with The Beatles' "All You Need Is Love". There was dancing, rose petals falling from the sky, and all of Kurt's loved ones were there. And duh, Kurt said yes. Klaine forever!

3. Michael and Holly, The Office: Michael (Steve Carell) had finally found someone just as dorky, weird and offbeat as he was. After Pam (Jenna Fisher) stops him from proposing with gasoline and fire, Michael decides to take Holly (Amy Ryan) on a tour of the office, pointing out why each spot was special to him and them as a couple. They end up at her desk, which is surrounded by candles. Right as he starts his proposal, the smoke from the candles cause the sprinklers to come on. Instead of stopping and waiting for them to turn back off,  Michael keeps going and asks Holly to marry him, using a Yoda voice, of course. The two seal the deal with a soaking wet kiss and all the office workers cheering.

4. Homer and Marge, The Simpsons: In the flashback episode, "I Married Marge," Homer and Marge tell their children the story of their engagement. In 1980, Marge tells Homer she might be pregnant, so Homer decides he must make an honest women out of her. The only ring he can afford, however, is an onion ring. Marge doesn't care, and she lets him slide the hot, greasy snack onto her finger. Mmmm, onion rings.

5. Derek and Meredith, Grey's Anatomy: Their engagement served as an ode to many of their interactions before and after they became a couple, as Derek (Patrick Dempsey) pops the question to Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) in an elevator. The elevator is decorated with medical memorabilia and love letters that are significant to their relationship, and after McDreamy points out certain CT scans and medical charts, he tells Mer that he wants to spend the rest of his life with her. The only thing better than that engagement is their Post-It wedding.

6. Monica and Chandler, Friends: Forever dear in our hearts is the Friends proposal that starts with Monica (Courteney Cox) on one knee and ends with Chandler (Matthew Perry) joining her on the floor. She can't get through a sentence about falling in love with her best friend without crying, so he takes over, telling her he will spend his the rest of his life trying to make her as happy as she's made him. And this was all after an entire episode where Chandler tricks Monica into thinking he never wanted to get married and Joey (Matt LeBlanc) letting Chandler think that Monica left him. Crushing defeat right into overwhelming joy? That's how we like our small-screen engagements!
