Will Ferrell's a Trojan man through and through.

Returning to his alma matter at the University of Southern California on Monday, Oct. 14, the comedian had the privilege of being the only non-marching band member in school history to dress up in the drum major's uniform as unofficial mascot Tommy Trojan.

Spinning a sword around, Ferrell showed off his school pride as he led the marching band, The Spirit of Troy, in a rally as part of an event for his friend and fellow alum Craig Pollard's charity, Cancer for College, which gives students battling the disease scholarships so they can attend college.

Now this is Old School!

The Anchorman star's appearance came just two days after he paid a surprise visit to the locker room of the University of Washington's football team, according to Bleacher Report, before its game against No. 2 Oregon.

Of course, Ferrell is known for surprising fans unexpectedly, whether it's for a good cause like Monday's Trojan gathering, popping up in a super secret Super Bowl beer spot for Old Milwaukee, pulling guard detail at a Los Angeles Lakers basketball game, introducing the lineup at a Chicago Bulls game, or playing John McEnroe in doubles at the U.S. Open.
