Let the countdown begin!

Over the weekend, Amy Poehler played coy about cohosting the Golden Globes with Tina Fey again, telling E! News, "Nothing to report yet," but earlier today, she and her Saturday Night Live sista announced that they have signed on to the gig for two more years—and the excitement is almost unbearable!

During her first interview since the news broke, Poehler spoke about how she and Fey will approach the task, now that they have a better idea of how it all goes down.

"Well last year was really fun! We didn't know what to expect. It was exciting to work with Tina, as always, and it was a strange experience. We had a lot of fun, so we said maybe we can try it again and, like fools, we are giving it another shot," she told the Hollywood Foreign Press Association this morning.

"Looking forward to understanding more of how the night goes and what works and what doesn't. In all honesty, just setting the tone for a really fun evening. I think as a host that's your job. Telling some jokes, getting everyone excited and then stay out of everyone's way."

However, the dynamic duo will be doing most of the prepping once the show gets closer.

"I can't stress enough how little we will prepare until very close to the show," Poehler said. "We'll treat it like 'Weekend Update'—its a little SNL-style and have to work backwards. We get a lot of jokes, write our own, talk bits and we work through them. You can't really do this kind of stuff too early and you can't overthink it."

And hopefully, by signing on for two more shows, Poehler will get to experience her shining moment from last year's Golden Globes a couple more times...assuming one handsome Hollywood bachelor is up for it.

"My highlight was sitting on George Clooney's lap," she said, and added, "But it all felt like a highlight."
