Did Martha Stewart just diss Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle franchise, Goop?

Speaking to Bloomberg TV this week, the famous 72-year-old homemaking maven sounded off on Paltrow's ventures into the lifestyle business, which include her site Goop and her various cookbooks.

"I haven't eaten at Gwyneth's house, and I have never seen how she lives," Stewart said in the new interview. "But, if she's authentic, all the better, and I certainly hope she is. She really wants to be part of the lifestyle business."

Stewart continued, "Gwyneth, for example, has a book on the best-seller list. She must be doing something right. She's a charming, pretty person who has a feeling for lifestyle. She wants to be a lifestyle arbiter—fine. Good."

The "It's a good thing" phrase-coiner made sure to point out, "I think I started this whole category of lifestyle."

Last month, Paltrow celebrated the 5th anniversary of her Goop website, which advises on a variety of lifestyle topics including cooking, fashion, health and well-being.

"I can't believe this is the fifth anniversary of goop," she wrote in a letter to her fans. "I look back and I don't even really know why I started it. What the f was I thinking? I just thought, hey, why not? And now, here we are. A community. A business. A team."
