Taylor Momsen is all grown up. The actress-turned-rocker lifts up her shirt and flashes a lacy black bra in the November pages of Maxim magazine. The photo shoot is relatively tame by the singer's standards, as she frequently performs in lingerie and fishnets with her band, The Pretty Reckless.
In spite of her glam rock persona, Momsen says she actually feels sexiest when she's on stage. "It's less about what I'm wearing and more about feeling powerful while performing," she explains. "That gets my blood flowing."
The 20-year-old "Going to Hell" singer has come a long way since she first played wannabe cool girl Jenny Humphrey on The CW's Gossip Girl. Though she went on an "indefinite hiatus" in 2010, she returned for the series finale in December 2012.
Momsen has worked hard to prove herself as musician since her band formed in 2009. "I've been making music since I can remember, and a few years ago I got to a place where I had a band and could quit acting; that was my day job," she says. "I was 12 when I signed on to Gossip Girl, and since then I've had two records, toured with Guns n' Roses...I mean, it feels like a different world."
"We have old rockers who've never heard of Gossip Girl as well as parents bringing their kids, and then going, 'Oh, just kidding. We're leaving,'" she adds. "We've literally had parents call the cops during our shows reporting that it's inappropriate for their child."
