Just call him Bruce Jenner, speed demon.

The E! star got behind the wheel of a Lamborghini over the weekend and raced in the Lamborghini Series at the Virginia International Raceway in Alton, Va.

Before hitting the track, the 63-year-old Jenner talked about his affinity for motorsports with his son Brandon Jenner, who was also entered in the competition, and Grey's Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey, who was driving in the American Le Mans Series.

"I had heard about it a lot but never had the opportunity to come here," the former Olympic gold medalist told local ABC affiliate WSET about he and the younger Jenner's first race in the VIR.

Quipped Brandon: "We're just going to go as quick as we can, try to drive smooth, I'm going to try to keep up with this guy."

For Jenner, no doubt the high-octane excursion was a welcome distraction from the skin cancer scare he recently had which prompted him to undergo a successful procedure to remove a red spot from his nose. Last week, the famous father told E! News that the condition was all from sun damage he incurred years ago.

"Nobody wears sunblock back then," he said. "It's a Basal cell carcinoma, which is a—basically it is a skin cancer because it doesn't heal."

Dempsey, meanwhile, told the station he was thrilled to be a part of the event.

"I've always loved cars and racing and speed," the actor otherwise known as McDreamy told the station. "It's one of those iconic tracks that you like to come race at."

Dempsey added that he loves racing so much that he took a red eye to be there after working on the Grey's set all day.
