We decided to ask comedian and showman Jeff Beacher, the owner and creator of Beacher's Madhouse in Hollywood, about how to really make a night of it, celebrity-style.
Celebs hit Beacher's just about every night, and the hotspot counts stars like Miley Cyrus, Ashley Greene, Demi Lovato and Johnny Depp among its fans. The club isn't just about listening to music and dancing, it also features nightly performances. Miley has even taken some of the acts for her performances. Jeff said Miley has been "really supportive, she loves all our performers and the performers love her. She's a great girl. She supports everybody. She helps all the performers. She took Amazon Ashley to the VMAs. She really blew up Amazon. She has her own little person troupe now that she takes on tour with her. She's just a great girl and we just love her!"
Beacher's is constantly evolving. "We change the show every week. We have different characters and we change the cast. We have a touring cast that tours around the country. We're constantly rotating people in and out, bringing in new acts," Jeff says. And now the club is expanding to a second location. On New Year's Eve, Beacher's Madhouse will be opening at MGM in Las Vegas. "Las Vegas is going to be a $100 million dollar deal," Beacher spills. "This will be the most epic of all the projects we're ever done." Miley even tweeted about the new opening.
So just how does one party like a rockstar? Here's what Jeff had to say:
What time should you arrive to a party?
In Los Angeles everything closes at 2 a.m., so we recommend everyone getting there early—we open at 11 p.m. In Las Vegas there's early shows and late shows, so if you're going out to a club or you're going to sleep early we have an 8 o'clock show that goes to 10. And we have an 11 o'clock show that goes to 2 or 3, similar to the Los Angeles one.
What's your favorite drink? What should you drink?
I'm a really simple guy. I like Long Island Iced Teas.
Where should you sit?
It's about comfort and finding your own little area. No matter where you sit you're in your own zone, you're with your friends, you're having a great time. Certain people like certain areas. Like Miley's favorite area is the birdcage.
What should you not leave the house without?
Never leave the house without your iPhone, so you can Instagram all the amazing performances.
And when you're snapping those selfies or shows on Instagram, which filter should you use?
The performances speak for themselves—I just put them up. Everything's so crazy, so unique. It's just really easy to put up.
What's the No. 1 thing to keep in mind for a night out?
I just recommend going, being in a good mood and having a great night!
