Katy Perry's latest song "By the Grace of God" is here.

The 28-year-old singer debuted the ballad, the newest track off her upcoming album Prism, while performing at the iTunes Festival in London this week. The emotional song recalls Perry's sad divorce from ex Russell Brand, which left her in a terribly dark place in her life.

"Thought I wasn't enough, found out I wasn't so tough laying on the bathroom floor," Perry sings in the song. "We were living on a fault line, and I felt the fault was all mine/couldn't take it anymore/by the grace of god I pick myself back up/I put one foot in front of the other and I looked in the mirror and decided to stay/wasn't gonna let love take me out that way."

"I thank my sister for keeping my head above the water," she continues. "When the truth was like swallowing sand/now every morning hope there is no more mourning/I can finally see myself again."

Perry recently opened up to Billboard about the emotional lyrics of the song. "That song is evident of how tough it really was at a certain point," Perry revealed. "I asked myself, 'Do I want to endure? Should I continue living?'"

"All the songs are real-life moments," she said. "I can only write autobiographically. I put all the evidence in the music. I tell my fans if they want to know the real truth about stuff, just listen to the songs."

On a happier note, Perry has caught the eye of one hunky new guy (but don't worry John Mayer). Ken Yasger, an openly gay ranger currently serving in the Army, has made a video inviting Perry to be his date for the upcoming Ranger Ball on Oct. 10.

"Katy, you're an inspiration to me in a lot of ways, "Yasger says in the video. "I am the first and only gay ranger in the unit that I'm with, and your music really helped me get through."

What do you say, Katy?!
