Following in the (similar) footsteps of Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus, Beyoncé and countless of other celebs (not to mention the one fictitious character that started it all), actress Liv Tyler opted to rock black-and-white stripes while in New York today. And to make an even bigger fashion statement, her son Milo joined her.

The mother-and-son duo wore matching striped long sleeve tops while running errands and strolling the streets of Manhattan's West Village.

Tyler paired her top with denim jeans, navy blue vest and sneakers, and then gave the look a Parisian feel by adding some red lipstick.

Meanwhile, Milo went for a more casual look, wearing a gray pair of New York Knicks sweatpants and a some New Balance sneakers.

Tyler recently revealed that the healthiest male relationship she's had in her life is with her 8-year-old son.

"[Milo] just wants me to make him breakfast and walk him to school and read to him at night and help him with his homework—all the basic things that any child would want," Tyler said in an interview with Net-A-Porter. "He couldn't give a rat's ass about me being famous or a movie star or anything. I learn so much from him. To have a son was huge for me, because it's been the most solid, healthy, consistent relationship I've ever had with a male in my whole life."
