After four long months of missing our musically inclined cast, the season five premiere of Glee is finally here! The hit Fox comedy is known for its fast-paced storylines and jaw-dropping twists and turns, so we're here to refresh your memories on all the Glee-vents of last year, as well as what's ahead for your favorite characters.

From an epic two-part Beatles extravaganza, to Rachel Berry's Funny Girl fate, and a touching tribute to a fallen star, read on for all the scoop on what's coming up.
Where We Left Off:
• Brittany (Heather Morris) has been recruited to attend the fancy-pants school known as MIT, but her new absence means some serious shake-ups for the WMHS: Sam is now single (again), the Cheerios are missing their captain, and the New Directions are now short one sensational singer and dancer. Oh and we may never see Fondue for Two, ever again. To say that we are sad is an understatement.
• After months and months of fake online flirtations, we finally learned the identity of Ryder's (Blake Jenner) catfisher. Marley (Melissa Benoist) tried to take the blame, and we all thought it was Kitty (Becca Tobin), but the real cyberstalker was Unique (Alex Newell). Ryder felt so betrayed that he announced that he would be quitting the glee club right after regionals.
• After winning regionals, the New Directions—and Kurt (Chris Colfer)—celebrated in the choir room and then became apart of Will (Matthew Morrison) and Emma's (Jayma Mays) surprise wedding. Speaking of weddings, Blaine (Darren Criss) has decided that he wants to be back in a relationship with Kurt, so he bought an engagement ring and we saw it hiding behind his back while everyone was celebrating.
• Over in NYC, Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) was off being flawless once again. Cassie (Kate Hudson) and her entire NYADA dance class wished her luck on her Funny Girl callback, and in true Berry fashion, Rachel killed her audition. Now we're just waiting for their decision...
What Lies Ahead:
• Kicking off a special two-episode premiere event, Glee is celebrating the iconic hits of the Beatles and the performances are sure to be over-the-top amazing. (We've already picked our top five songs!) You should also know these Beatlemania-centric episodes of Glee are going to feature a steamy Klaine smooch, a newly titled (yet still evil!) Principal Sue (Jane Lynch), Tina's (Jenna Ushkowitz) attempt at winning prom queen, and Demi Lovato playing Santana's (Naya Rivera) sexy love interest.
• We know that Rachel will get another callback for Funny Girl, but this time the casting direction is looking to see if she has the acting bug. Check out this clip from the season premiere, "Love Love Love" to see if Rachel Berry nails (or fails) her audition. Later in the episode, Rachel will further try to impress the less-than-enthused director by teaming up with Santana for a duet of "A Hard Day's Night." It'll be stellar, obviously.
• Looking ahead to the third week, fans will undoubtedly be brought to tears of while watching a tribute episode for the recently deceased Cory Monteith. Ryan Murphy exclusively told us how Glee will handle Finn's absence from the show and how it was girlfriend Lea Michele's idea to honor Monteith. New Glee star Erinn Westbrook (who will play a mean Cheerio) described the tribute episode to be "very therapeutic" for the entire cast and crew.
