Alexa Chung may only share a close-up shot of her eye on the cover of her upcoming book It, but we get to see a lot more of the Brit babe on the October cover of Nylon magazine

Showing off the fab fashion sense that helped the model-turned-television personality cement her It Girl status, Chung strikes a pose in gorgeous Louis Vuitton and Chanel looks for the issue.

And while there's no doubt she has style savvy—she's won multiple Style Awards from the British Fashion Awards and serves as a contributing editor to British Vogue, after all—the 29-year-old remains humble when it comes to taking her fashion chops too seriously.

"I could never be that earnest about [giving fashion advice]because I don't want people to think that I think I'm that great," she admitted.

And right in keeping with that refreshingly humble attitude, Chung opens up about reluctantly accepting her star status.

"It's a funny title," Chung says about the public's penchant to dub her an It Girl. "The older I get, the more I'm like, 'Oh it's not that bad.' But when 'It' was first stuck on me, I was like, 'No, I'm not!' I felt like that label was reserved for girls who were famous for being famous."

And part embracing her fabulous title came with looking at past It Girls who stood the test of time.

"Is Kate Moss still an It Girl? Charlotte Rampling? Jane Birkin? I wouldn't rank myself alongside those women, but if the It Girls of yesteryear are still 'It,' I don't think any of them lost what they made them unique."

We're willing to bet Chung won't lose it either!
