TwitterMario Lopez is understandably exhausted. The Extra host interviewed stars like Emilia Clarke and Sofia Vergara at the Primetime Emmy Awards in L.A. on Sunday, Sept. 22, and it appears the 39-year-old overexerted himself in the process.
The X Factor host shared a twitpic of himself lying beside his 3-year-old daughter, Gia. "Tough day," Lopez tweeted. "Ending it by being hooked up to IV." No word yet on why Lopez needed the drip, though he did tell his Twitter followers he was feeling a bit under the weather earlier that morning. "Emmy Sunday! Feeling a bit run down & out of it...I'll rally," he wrote. "Let me know what u want me to ask ur favorite stars. I'll be on the red carpet."
Though he didn't attend the annual awards show, Lopez—whose wife, Courtney Mazza, recently welcomed son Dominic—watched the CBS broadcast from the comfort of his own bed. "Happy Jeff Daniels & Claire Danes won for best actor/actress," he tweeted, "and Modern Family for best comedy!"
