From lace to burgundy jackets, many men stood out at the annual award show with fashion forward suits

They say every man looks good in a suit.

But some guys still manage to look better than others.

Case in point: The red carpet at the 2013 Emmy Awards was a sea of jackets and ties, but certain stars stood out among the crowd.

Many a dapper dude proved that you can shake-up the ole suit-and-tie combination with some original detailing.

Modern Family's Jesse Tyler Ferguson made one of the more standout style statements of the night in a Brooks Brother suit complete with a lace jacket. You gotta love a man who is confident enough to wear a material usually reserved for the gals!

Meanwhile the gray piping on Zachary Quinto's sharp Givenchy suit definitely added some fab flair to his look.

And then there was Derek Hough, who rocked a traditional tux on the red carpet—and looked quite handsome, we might add!—but shook things up in a burgundy jacket while accepting his Emmy.
