Blast from the past!

Nashville star Connie Britton revealed to E!'s own Giuliana Rancic that she's had her fair share of odd jobs before she reached A-list status in Hollywood.

The actress, who is nominated for Lead Actress in a Drama Series, shared that she's "been really fortunate" in her career and was "thrilled" to be attending this year's awards show.

But it hasn't always been glitz and glam for Britton.

"I've worked at The Gap, I worked at The Limited," she confessed to Rancic. "I was appreciative for all those jobs. I probably didn't do them very well and I didn't do them for very long.

It's all about folding. I'm a terrible folder. I couldn't stay at The Gap for very long [due to that]."

So what did Britton manage to do while trying to land roles in New York City?

"I ultimately taught aerobics and that was kind of how I got through it," she admitted.

"That's what I did. I wore leg warmers, I wore a bandana—without question had to soak up the sweat with a bandana."

But Britton's exercise ensemble didn't end there…

"I wore very high-legged leotards, maybe a nice pink leotard with a purple bike short and very thick socks," she said laughing. "I was hot."

So what does the beautiful actress do to maintain her fabulous physique these days?

"I love yoga, I love Pilates, but really my favorite thing is if I can be outside…hiking, running," she explained.

And it seems to be working for Britton.

She looked positively radiant in a Naeem Khan dress that was accessorized with a Stuart Weitzman clutch and beyond fabulous Cathy Waterman jewels.

"[Cathy] lent these to me. Let me tell you. I had to insure it. Therefore I had to sign a piece of paper saying how much it was all worth," she shared.

"Let me just say, my jewelry is worth more than I am," Britton joked. "I'm very nervous!"
